Our Weather

The economic conditions we have been faced with over the past couple of years can drag anyone down, but there is hope!!!  There are many things that can be done during this downturn period that will not only lift your spirits, but could also lift the value of your best asset; your home.

Performing routine maintenance on both the exterior and interior areas of your home is not only necessary for its resale value, but will work wonders for your peace of mind.  Jobs such as cleaning gutters, caulking around windows and putting weather stripping in necessary places, can reduce your heating bills and add years of life to your property. Cleaning the chimney and dryer vents, checking for faulty wiring or electric outlets can all go far in preventing fire or injury.

If you are plan on putting your home on the market anytime soon, there is no better time to get the interior in perfect shape than during the dreary winter months and early spring. Start out simple!  Take one room at a time so you won?t be overwhelmed and clean it from top to bottom, washing woodwork, windows and behind furniture.  If you are tired of your present arrangement of furniture, spruce it up a bit by moving the furniture in during positions.  Try bringing that sofa out from against the wall and positioning it an angle in front of the fireplace or other focal point in your room.  Remove all those knick knacks from bookcases and on top of tables and start all over again. Arrange them in different places or different positions.  Add something new.

All of these things will do wonders in putting your most valuable asset in its best condition and will make you proud when prospective buyers give compliments on your decorating style, not to mention signing that purchase contract.
